Please make all new posts here rather than at Club CCD. The main discussion site, where most people post, is CancanGroup.io (https://groups.io/g/CancanGroup). Please go there for daily text postings. These are sites for the discussion and appreciation of the Cancan in all its forms, from its genesis in Paris during La Belle Epoche, to its appearance in London, San Francisco and The Old West. Owned and operated by the online cancan community, CCD2 is open to everybody with a genuine interest in the World's Greatest Dance. Please note, however, that CCD2 is a G-Rated group, so please don't post anything objectionable. "The film takes place in Odessa in 1910, when, on assignment from the RSDLP Foreign Bureau, a prominent Bolshevik underground activist arrives in the city disguised as a French timber merchant. He is tasked with organizing the delivery of illegal literature to Russia through the Odessa port. The mission is successfully completed. A variety theater was founded in Odessa, which, having gained fame, toured Russia and received "theatrical props" from France... "Dangerous Tour" is a Soviet heroic adventure musical film directed by Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich, based on a screenplay by Mikhail Melkumov, as described by Alexandra Kollontai in her diaries, at the Odessa Film Studio in 1969."
