This starts as a mishmash of cancan photos and video clips, but I would call your attention to the sequence starting at 2:20, which I believe is from a film called Les Belles. It is rare enough and good enough that I thought it merited posting.
Translated from the You Tube description:
"In 1961, Shaw spared no expense, spent millions, and mobilized over 1,000 dancers to make a musical film "A Thousand Beauties" starring two-time actress Lin Dai Entertainment body arc widescreen color video Since Shaw's films have overseas distribution, each film has an English translation, only this one uses the French Les Belles, meaning beauties; Shaw's name change can be said to be trendy.
The play is full of songs and dances, including dances from many different countries; the competitive Lin Dai is of course prepared. I heard that she has been practicing with all her life eight months before the filming started You are willing to dance!
In addition to the movie being well received in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, Lin Tai also won the Best Actress Award at the 8th Asian Film Festival for this movie, which means she won the Best Actress title three times."
