Greetings and welcome to CLUB CCD 2! This is a continuation of Club CCD (https://clubccd.blogspot.com/), which has reached capacity for new photos, but which is still active. These are sites for the discussion and appreciation of the Cancan in all its forms, from its genesis in Paris during La Belle Epoche, to its appearance in London, San Francisco and The Old West. "Synopsis

Le spectacle est composé de nombreux extraits des oeuvres d’Offenbach (La Grande Duchesse, La Belle Hélène, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, La Vie Parisienne, Orphée aux enfers, La fille du Tambour-Major, la Périchole, Le Brésilien). Pour rester dans l’univers fantastique d’Offenbach, la scène se déroule dans une taverne. La tenancière aperçoit un homme étrange, dans la lune, pas très bavard. Elle allume la télévision pour se divertir en cette soirée calme et tombe sur une émission TV dédiée à Offenbach. Lorsque le présentateur commence à parler, ce client un peu particulier s’exclame qu’Offenbach, c’est lui ! Le spectacle repose sur cette situation rocambolesque où Offenbach réapparaitrait en 2024, allant même jusqu’à ne pas connaître certains extraits lui étant attribués car certaines de ses oeuvres ont été terminées post mortem par ses élèves. Heureusement, le présentateur de l’émission et la joyeuse serveuse vont lui apporter toutes les informations nécessaires pour répondre à ses interrogations !
